Charlotte Istel is a writer, director and producer with over a decade of work experience in both fiction and non-fiction film/tv production. She’s written and directed several narrative short films, and works as a Story Producer, Researcher or Segment Producer on documentary series.
Her upcoming short film THE PLUMBING is an Official Selection at Provincetown International Film Festival. Her previous film HOLY WEEK was awarded Honorable Mention for Best Screenplay at the Queens World Film Festival, as well as nominated for Best Director and Best Short Film. Her pilot script HOLY WEEK was a semifinalist for Sundance’s YouTube New Voices Lab. Her earlier film MICKY was an Official Selection at Boston LGBT Film Festival, Los Angeles Independent Film Festival, and won the Audience Choice Award at Indie Works film festival.
Charlotte is currently developing a food guide @thedopaminediner and making more movies. Charlotte was raised in Brooklyn, NY but you can also find her in Los Angeles depending on her mood.
